Puppies will not leave my home until they are 12 weeks old, or older, if they are not of a weight to leave.  This is a rare and beautiful breed and the chances of Show or Breeding quality are limited.  Most of my puppies will be sold as "Pet" quality with spay/neuter contracts.  There is no accurate way to judge the true quality of a pup at 12 wks of age and what quality of adult that pup will mature into.  I have seen promising pups fall apart as they become adults.  I have also seen those "closet" dogs that have not shown much promise as a youngster turn into a stunning adult.  Time will tell what your dog matures into.  You just can't predict this from a small puppy.

Size is another factor that can not be determined at such a young age.  You can guess and use the Toy Breed weight chart but it is only a guess at best.  The size of a pup is determined by both parents and all the generations before them.  I have seen pups stay small and take a growth spurt at 6 months...I have also seen some gain their weight by 6 mo. and be done!!  Some seem to grow slowly until they are a year and a half.  The standard for show is 4-7 lbs. and I try to breed for this size but understand that many are much smaller and larger than this.  Believe me you will love them no matter the size!!  I do not breed for tiny pups and am offended by the use of the terms "teacups, tinie tinies, micro mini's etc.!  Breeding for under standard pups is a horrible practice in my opinion and the breeding of small females is cruel and liable to result in the death of your female.  This is why it is crucial that you and I know what you plan for your pup. I will be very picky about which dogs represent my breeding in the ring and become breeders..so please understand.  Remember  I will be with you every step of the way and together we will make the best choice for your new baby we can make!
